The Apostle Paul wrote in his second letter to Timothy, "From a child thou hast known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus (3:15)." Salvation is the entrance into the Christian life – a life that is defined as growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord, and Savior, Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18a).
MBC’s ministry to children incorporates both salvation and growth. The foundation of our teaching is Christ-centered, and we train the children to demonstrate their faith through Christlike attitudes and behavior.
Beginning at age 10, children have an opportunity to go through T.O.T.H. – Training of the Harvest, a youth initiative designed to teach children how to read and understand the Bible. The child will study every book of the Bible systematically so as to obtain a full picture of the Trinity – the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This initiative also requires at least one parent to be involved – as an accountability partner as well as an encourager.
